The Branding
I developed the branding for Camp Small Steps by drawing inspiration from a traditional camp experience, but with a modern twist that leaned into current design trends. Dravet Syndrome patients’ seizures can be caused by many things including too bright of a color, pure black or white, and patterns. This presented an interesting design challenge that required thoroughly researching and thinking through every design choice to make sure it wouldn’t harm the health of the campers.

Social Media
While on site at the camp event I directed the photography and videography to help capture content to be used on social channels.

ART DIRECTION | BRANDING | ACTIVATION
Dravet Syndrome is a rare epilepsy syndrome that begins in early childhood and continues throughout a person’s life. It is a medication-resistant syndrome that causes frequent seizures and developmental delays. Many children with Dravet Syndrome don’t get to participate in special childhood experiences, so we partnered with UCB Pharma and the non-profits Dravet Syndrome Foundation and Shine Forward with Dravet to produce Camp Small Steps. Camp Small Steps brought a safe and inclusive camp experience to each region across the country. We brought caregivers and patients together to make memories, connect and enjoy engaging sensory activities.
